Specializing in care and use of horses

A minor in equine studies provides you with a broad foundation about how to care for, properly train and ride horses. This minor includes a core of animal science courses that cover the basics of horse nutrition and physiology.

In this program, you gain hands-on experience in working with horses at our Darr Agricultural Center, including opportunities to partner with the Springfield community through the Therapeutic Riding of the Ozarks program.
