The plant science graduate program prepares you to work in a variety of careers that directly work with or are associated with the production, management and use of plants. With the skills and knowledge you gain through the plant science program, you are prepared for careers in the following areas:
- Crop, fruit and vegetable production and protection
- Environmental preservation
- Extension education
- Landscape management
- Nursery and seed production
- Wine production
You may also choose to continue your educational and research pursuits by applying to PhD programs upon graduation. With a doctorate degree, you will have the skills and credentials for working as a professor, research specialist or even a consultant.
