The Fruit Experiment Station at Mountain Grove in the William H. Darr College of Agriculture is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of the Missouri fruit crop industry.
The Fruit Experiment Station conducts plant science research programs as well as advisory programs in commercial fruit crops and public education. The department conducts the Grape Importation and Certification Program a USDA quarantine site and the Center for Grapevine Biotechnology.
Undergraduate education includes internships, independent study, selected topics, undergraduate research and courses. Agriculture faculty are located on both the Springfield campus and the Fruit Experiment Station at Mountain Grove. Thesis research opportunities for graduate students also are available through the Plant Science master's degree program.
