- perforated pennycress is somewhat similar to, but much smaller than field pennycress
- native to Europe
- only grows 4-8 inches tall
- commonly found in open turf and warm-season turf in winter
- has leaves that clasp around stem
- flowers are small, white, with four petals, appearing in early spring
- fruit is a small, heart-shaped silique, somewhat upcurved and flat, but with an inflated center
