Birdseye Pearlwort:

  • Stolon-producing creeping perennial with linear, awl-like, somewhat fleshy leaves, slender stems and greenish-white flowers
  • Found in close-mowed turf, nursery container plants, growing among rocks
  • Prefers cool, moist soils--usually not too persistent here, unless near cool springs
  • Similar species, knawel, has greenish, petal-less flowers that are without stalks in axils of leaves
