Perennial blue lettuce:

  • perennial with creeping roots, growing 12-36" tall can spread to form large colonies in just a couple of years
  • more common north of here, but can be found in most of Midwest
  • lower leaves somewhat toothed to just slightly lobed
  • stem leaves thin, linear
  • flowers sky-blue, like chicory, but smaller
