Location on campus: on east side of drive on north side of Greenwood Lab School, in beds toward sidewalk on south side of Glass Hall.
- leaves scale-like, opposite, rounded or blunt-tipped; some leaves on young plants or older branchlets awl-like, 1/6" long with midrib on top; strong 'savin' odor and bitter taste
- male clone
- gray-green foliage color with no purpling in winter
- main lateral branches spread horizontally, from these there are many short branchlets that reach up, and center of plant tends to 'mound up' with age
- slow growth rate
- resistant to Phomopsis blight
