  • rosette forming, simple perennial with fibrous root system
  • leaves long, narrow, with prominent veins
  • inflorescence a 6" spike, with flowers clustered at tip (similar to foxtails)
  • flowers produced in late-spring to mid-summer
  • reproduces readily by seed
