  • branching annual weed that grows 6-24 inches tall with narrow, toothed margin basal leaves
  • flowers are small, yellow in terminal racemes
  • fruit is slender, very long silque--2-5" long--making plant look like densely branched, leafless plant at maturity
  • common in winter annual crops, forages, roadsides, non-crop areas
