Canada Milkvetch:

  • Has more upright, less branched stems than other milkvetches, growing 1-4 feet tall
  • Flowers are upright, creamy-white; leave pinnately compound with many slender, dark-green leaflets
  • Usually not considered poisonous, but not usually grazed
  • Found on prairies, rangeland, roadsides
  • May multiply in overgrazed areas; although related to the poisonous milkvetch (poisonvetch) species, its toxicity is much less, and may not be a problems
