Fraxinus pennsylvanica: Green Ash

  • very similar to white ash except:
    • leaflets more pubescent underneath (less whitish) and turn yellow for fall color
    • leaf scar is shield shaped-- not indented at top
    • more tolerant of dry and variable soils than white ash
