Ground Ivy, Creeping Charlie, Creeping Jenny:

  • creeping perennial that produces stolons in the Lamiaceae (Mint) family
  • leaves opposite, rounded (about 1" diameter) with rounded lobes
  • produces spikes of attractive purple flowers in late fall or spring
  • prefers shady, cool sites, with adequate moisture but may grow anywhere
  • spreads rapidly once present in a lawn
