Hairy nightshade:

  • an annual, similar to eastern black nightshade, but entire plant is covered with dense hairs
  • leaves, stems have pungent (bad?) odor if handled, or if plant wilts
  • flower and fruit are similar to eastern black nightshade, except mature fruit stays green longer
  • an increasingly common weed in agronomic crops
