Heal-All, Self-heal:

  • creeping perennial weed with rhizomes growing about 6-24 inches tall in moist, partly shaded sites (lawns, streambanks, roadsides, pastures)
  • ca n tolerate mowing and grazing, forming large, short-stemmed (mat-like) colonies with short internodes between more oval-shaped leaves
  • when grown uncut/ungrazed, has opposite, lanceolate leaves
  • a medicinal plant brought to U.S. by European settlers
