Ivy-leaved morningglory:

  • has english ivy-shaped, three-lobed leaves and bright blue flowers
  • leaves, stems, fruit fairly pubescent (hairy)
  • is a summer annual vine
  • produces bur-like seedpods; reproduces readily by seed
  • found in cultivated fields and waste areas
  • related subspecies, entireleaf morningglory, is the same in all aspects except leaves are heart-shaped instead of having the three-lobed, ivy-like leaves
