  • Biennial or annual native to Asia with foliage similar to wild carrot, but somewhat hairy and finely divided
  • Stems slender, ridged, pubescent
  • Smaller growing, about 1-3 feet tall
  • Inflorescence more of a compound umbel (like poison hemlock)
  • Seeds are oval, burlike, attaching readily to livestock, clothing
  • Found in drier soils, pastures, open woods, roadsides, non-crop areas
