- Biennial or annual native to Asia with foliage similar to wild carrot, but somewhat hairy and finely divided
- Stems slender, ridged, pubescent
- Smaller growing, about 1-3 feet tall
- Inflorescence more of a compound umbel (like poison hemlock)
- Seeds are oval, burlike, attaching readily to livestock, clothing
- Found in drier soils, pastures, open woods, roadsides, non-crop areas
