Location on campus: behind bench, under steps in planting bed on north side of Karls Hall
- deciduous groundcover with simple, dark green, alternate, obovate leaves with crenate margins from middle to tip
- grows about 4-8" tall
- good for shady, moist, high-organic matter soils
- spreads more slowly than other spreading groundcovers
