Partridge Pea:

  • Annual with alternate pinnately-compound leaves, like a “sensitive plant" or mimosa tree
  • Grows 8-36 inches tall, with little branching
  • Yellow, rounded flowers 0.5-1.5 inches diameter, in axils of leaves
  • Fruit is a flattened pod 1-3 inches long
  • Can cause “scours" in cattle grazing on them
