Pitseed Goosefoot:

  • similar to common lambsquarters, with egg-shaped leaves with toothed margins on young plants, striped stems, powdery coatings on new growth and compact inflorescences
  • grows 2-5 feet tall or more, prefers fertile soils
  • young leaves on some plants tend to have a more pinkish coating, rather than just whitish
  • seed has tiny pits in blackish outer covering
