- Cool-season annual grass with large, very soft-hairy inflorescences--look like a rabbit’s foot
- Leaves pubescent to only slightly hairy, medium texture, medium to gray-green
- Grows 6-18" tall, with spreading-upright stems
- Usually in fertile, but dry soils
- Only found occasionally in Missouri
