Rescuegrass:

Has generally smooth leaves and stems, and a spreading/ascending growth habit
Panicle has fewer spikelets than downy brome, and spikelets are very much flattened and sometimes have a reddish-purple tint
Is used as a forage as well
Not too common here, more common south and west of here
