Rice Flatsedge:

  • summer annual sedge found in wetter row crops, nurseries, growing in clumps 6-24" tall
  • stems triangular; leaves medium to light green, sometimes with pine-needle-like odor
  • inflorescence a branched, green to silvery green panicle
  • doesn’t have the rhizomes or tubers found on yellow nutsedge or purple nutsedge
