Silver Beardgrass:

  • native, warm-season perennial grass with silvery, white, fluffy compressed panicles at the top of slender, naked culms--some colonies have larger, fluffier inflorescences than others
  • bunch-type sprawling grass common on southwest Missouri roadsides
  • not often listed as a weed, but seems to be increasing on roadsides
