Deutzia gracilis: Slender Deutzia
- leaves opposite, simple, deciduous, lanceolate, medium to light green with serrate margins; 2-3" long, 1/2 as wide
- stems slender, curving tan to gray; older bark peeling, gray
- grows 2-3’ tall and 3-4’ wide
- has panicles of fragrant, white flowers in mid-spring at tips of branches
- prefers full sun to light shade, tolerant of most soils
- thin older branches as needed to keep flowering
- medium growth rate
