Soft Brome:
- Has pubescent leaves and leaf sheaths, like downy brome, but inflorescence spikelets are fatter, and broader, with few to many hairs
- Panicle is also more upright, with short branches to spikelets
- Can get taller than other Missouri annual bromegrasses--up to 3’ tall
- Becoming increasingly more common in southwest Missouri
