Quercus michauxii (Quercus prinus): Swamp Chestnut Oak
- leaves alternate, deciduous, simple, obovate with shallow lobes--similar to chinkapin oak, but more hairy underneath (like swamp white oak)
- large bottomland tree with upright, open growth habit--similar to above two trees
- medium growth rate
- native to southeast Missouri
