Swamp Smartweed:

  • creeping perennial
  • similar to pennsylvania smartweed, but leaves slightly larger
  • more hairs on stem than Pennsylvania smartweed
  • flower spikes very bright pink (actually attractive)
  • usually seen only in very wet soils
