leaves opposite, deciduous, trifoliate, similar to Paperbark Maple, but leaflets of three-flowered maple are longer and less lobed
similar growth habit to Paperbark Maple: 20-20' tall and wide
Bark is more of a tan color, but also exfoliates like Paperbark Maple
