  • Native simple to creeping perennial, growing 1-4 feet tall that can spread by short rhizomes
  • Has oval-shaped opposite, dark green to light green, triangular to oval-shaped leaves with toothed edges; petioles present; veins not real prominent
  • Flowers white, in head-like structures about 1/4 diameter, in small, flat-topped clusters at tips of top branches
  • Contains toxins that can be toxic to grazing livestock; toxins can pass into milk, and are toxic to humans, as well
  • Prefers field edges or open woodland pastures (part shade)
