Animal Science (Comprehensive)

Bachelor of Science

Major requirements (73-74 hours):

Note: 13-14 hours may double count toward the General Education requirements.

  1. Specific General Education requirements:
    1. BIO 101(3) and 111(1); or BIO 121(4).
    2. CHM 107(3) and 108(1); or CHM 116(4) and 117(1); or CHM 160(4) and 161(1).
    3. GEP 101(2) or UHC 110(2).
    4. MTH 130(3) or higher numbered mathematics course listed in the General Education Quantitative Literacy requirement.
  2. AGB 144(4); AGP 103(3) or AGN 115(3); AGP 365(3) or 370(3); AGR 300(3) or CHM 201(3); AGR 490(1); AGS 101(3), 102(1), 301(3), 302(3), 310(3), 311(3), 316(3), 366(3); AGS 432(3) or 452(3) or 453(3) or 461(3).
  3. Public Affairs Capstone Experience Requirement: AGS 496(3) or 497(3) or 498(3) or 499(3).
  4. 18 hours from the following two groups of courses including at least eight hours from Group A, five hours from Group B, and an additional five hours from Groups A or B:
    1.
