Cutleaf Evening Primrose:

  • a biennial or sometimes summer annual, low-branching weed with lobed/toothed larceolate leaves and reddish stems in the Evening Primrose (Onagraceae) Family
  • flowers are bright yellow, similar to common evening primrose, but in axils of leaves
  • prefers cultivated, dry, sandy, fertile soils--field, vegetable, nursery crops--plus roadsides, non-crop areas
