Yucca flaccida: Floppy Yucca, Weakleaf Yucca
Location near campus: south of gravel parking lot, south of Grand, between Kings and Dollison Streets; several yards on both sides of Kings St. south of campus.
- similar in appearance to above, perhaps more blue-green leaves on some plants; however, older leaves tend to bend down at middle, appearing more "floppy" than filamentosa species
- can tolerate light shade, but prefers full sun and needs relatively dry conditions
- Non-trunk-forming yucca; develops multiple offsets with age
- one of two most cold-hardy yuccas (other is Yucca glauca)
