Green Foxtail:

  • medium sized plant of the group, usually 18-24" tall
  • has hairless leaves
  • stems often very thin, also hairless
  • inflorescence "foxtail" is only slightly drooping; may be green or purplish
  • inflorescence is medium sized for group, usually 2-4"
  • also a serious agronomic crop weed, similar to giant foxtail
  • compare also with yellow foxtail and bristly foxtail
