Hoary Vervain:

  • Native short-lived perennial, growing 3-5 feet tall, with opposite, oval, toothed, hairy, textured leaves
  • Flowers are in narrow, upright racemes, usually blue or purple in color (sometimes white)
  • Found in fallow fields, pastures, disturbed sites, roadsides
  • FHas broader, more hairy leaves and not as blue flowers as similar blue vervain
