Spreading Yellowcress:
- Native creeping perennial weed that produces creeping roots, growing 3-18 inches tall, with mostly prostrate to sprawling stems that can form large patches
- Leaves are 1-3 inches long, about 1 inch wde, with moderately-lobed margins--sort of like an oak leaf
- Flowers are small, yellow, followed by 1/2 inch long, curved elliptical siliques
- Found in moist soils, pastures, reduced-tillage fields, non-crop areas
- More common in western part of Midwest, while Creeping Yellow Fieldcress is more common in eastern part--both are found in Missouri
- Not as invasive as creeping yellow fieldcress
