Fostering a passion for agriculture
A degree in agriculture education provides the necessary skills and abilities for a variety of careers beyond traditional educational opportunities. Upon receiving your degree in agriculture education, you may pursue a career in many settings and fields:
- 4-H coordinator and/or advisor
- Administration
- FFA advisor
- Industry trainer
- Personnel manager
- Public relations
- Research
- Student affairs
- Teaching
Many agriculture education majors also pursue a graduate degree in either education or agriculture to further their studies and to meet professional development requirements at their place of employment. If you desire to work at a college or university level, a master’s degree and often a PhD are required for employment.
