Southern Crabgrass:

  • also with spreading growth habit, similar to smooth crabgrass and large crabgrass, but leaf blades have either no hairs or only a few short hairs near base of the blade; leaf sheath has long hairs (like large crabgrass)
  • leaf midvein is prominent
  • digitate panicle has 4-12 panicle branches, each 2-4.5" long
