Expanding your understanding of soils and crops

An agronomy minor introduces you to the study of soils and field crops with a focus on soil management, production of row crops and forages, and soil conservation. Many of our agronomy courses incorporate hands-on learning experiences through laboratory classes and field trips to the Darr Agriculture Center and Journagan Ranch.

Minor requirements

To complete a 20-hour minor in agronomy, you must complete the following courses:


Bachelor of Science
  1. AGN 115(3) or AGP 103(3).
  2. Additional courses from the following to total at least 20 hours: AGN 143(3), 215(3), 335(3), 405(3); AGP 365(3), 370(3), 485(3), 575(2), 583(3); AGR 300(3).
