Spring Planting 2004

Master Gardener volunteers planting the edge of the garden

In spring the majority of the plants for the Centennial Garden were installed with the help of volunteers from the Tri-County Master Gardeners Group (photo left).  Candytuft, pinks and species geraniums were planted along the edges.  The hydrangeas, spireas, clematis, asters, grasses, sedums, coreopsis, creeping thyme, and Geranium sanguinium were also planted.  We will soon be planting Echinacea 'Magnus' and under-planting catmint by the roses when those plants become available.
